Our Thoughts
This, by far, has been one of the most challenging projects for our group. Here are 10 things we learned from this experience.
BONUS: The three metrics to success are: impact, impact, and impact.
- The more you know. The more you realize you don't know. Keep asking questions.
- Have actual, validated numbers for statistics.
- Practice your pitch 10 times, and then you should do it again.
- You can't create value without a contextual understanding of the problem.
- Just because you are solving a social problem and trying to make the world better does not mean you can't make money.
- Paint a clear, simple picture when talking about your venture. This might be someone's first time hearing about your venture.
- Always think how you are going to measure and test what you are creating.
- Have an answer for everything.
- Build with the user in mind. The only thing that matters is that you are creating something the user will actually use.
- Solve a real problem.
